    Strictly speaking geolocation is not part of HTML5. If the Deals App uses HTML5 features extensively then Windows Phone 7 is going to be in trouble
    • Thanks Paschal, you are correct Geolocation is a separate spec from HTML5. The two are often incorrectly lumped together. I was being sloppy in not making that clear

      The Deals app does use an HTML5 doctype and some HTML5 features including Local Storage (also not part of the core HTML5 spec) but its essential functionality (a clickable list of nearby offers) could have been achieved in a way that would work on most mobile browsers.
