Intel Wireless Network Adapter Driver

Option one: Automatically identify and update your drivers and software

Note Updating drivers automatically deletes older driver versions.

Option two: Manually identify your Intel® Wireless Adapter and Wi-Fi driver version

Select your operating system below, and follow the steps to identify your Intel® Wireless Adapter and driver.

Click or the operating system for details:

Windows® 10

  1. Locate the task bar in the bottom right corner of your desktop.
  2. Select the Wireless icon.
  3. Select Network Settings (or Network & Internet settings).
  4. Select Wi-Fi on the left if not already selected, then select Hardware properties or Advanced options depending on your version of Windows 10.

  5. The product is listed in the Description field. The driver version is listed in the Driver version field.
    Property sheet example:

Windows 8.1*

  1. Right-click the Start button in the bottom left corner of the screen.
  2. Select Device Manager.

  3. Click Network Adapters to expand the section. The Intel® Wireless Adapter is listed. Example: Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6235.

  4. Right-click the wireless adapter and select Properties.

  5. Click the Driver tab to see the wireless adapter property sheet.
    The driver version number is listed in the Driver Version field.

    Property sheet example:

Windows 8*

  1. Right-click anywhere outside the start app buttons.
  2. In the All App button, select the switch to all app menu item.
  3. Select Control Panel.
  4. Click System and Security.
  5. Click Device Manager.
  6. Click Network Adapters to expand the section.
    The Intel® Wireless Adapter is listed. Example: Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6235.
  7. Right-click the wireless adapter.
  8. Click Properties.
  9. Click Driver tab to see the wireless adapter property sheet.
    The driver version number is listed in the Driver Version field.


Property sheet example:

 

Windows 7*

  1. Click Start > Control Panel.
  2. Click System and Security. Select Category view if the System and Security icon is not visible.
  3. On System, click Device Manager.
  4. Click Network Adapters to expand the section.
    The Intel® Wireless Adapter is listed. Example, Intel® WiFi Link 5300 AGN.

  7. Click Driver tab to see the wireless adapter property sheet.
    The driver version number is listed in the Driver Version field.

  2. Double-click System and Maintenance and Device Manager.
  3. Click Network Adapters to expand the section.
    The Intel® Wireless Adapter is listed. For example, Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6235.

    The driver version number is listed in the Driver Version field.

  1.  
  2. Double-click the System icon. Select Switch to classic view if the system icon is not visible.
  3. Click the Hardware tab.

  5. Click the Network Adapters to expand the section.
    The Intel® Wireless Adapter is listed. For example, Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN.
